Des Moines

We had a great time in Des Moines! We were visiting friends and family. It was colder then Boston! One day, it was 14 below 0! Sledding was a highlight! Across the creek, was a family who had a prefect hill for sledding. they were very kind and let us barrow it. We made jumps which we flew off of!

When we were first at the airport in Boston, the flights were backed up so we had to be separated. Ella and Dad had to stay back with our luggage while the other half of the family kept on going. In the end, Ella and dad ended getting back 2 days later. It was very upsetting for all of us especially when we found out that if Ella had come with the other half of the family, Dad would have made it to Texas and would all fly to Des Moines together. But we forgot about it and had a great rest of the trip! Thank you Nani and Papa!

Grace is Not a Baby anymore!!

Grace has lately been good about pictures and is always smiling when we try to take a picture. We think she knows what a camera is! She also has been talking a lot more. She says Ella, Dada and Mama all the time. She like Ella has amazing lungs so when she cries, you could hear her outside! She throws things away in the trash that we don't need and when someone is crying, Grace will come over and pat there back their back or bend down and go Ahda? When people are leaving she knows and she will kiss and wave! She is also still attached to her milk and still drinks about 40 cups a day. We love our little Goo, Goobers, Gogon, Grace!Remove Formatting from selection

Des Moines

We cannot believe it is time already! On Monday we will be leaving for Iowa to celebrate Christmas with our grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles! For the last couple days we have been cleaning like crazy so we will be ready to leave! We will post during our visit!

NYC trip

The 12-16 the Makechnie's were in New york! We all saw amazing sights and learned some cool things. Ellis Island was really cool. We learned about how hard it was to come from a different country to as they called, 'The Gate to America.' Many were put in hospitals and detained if they showed any sign of sickness. Imagine how hard it would be if you were not allowed in. Well if you had not learned well, and had not passed the test, you were not allowed in. We saw an exhibit showing men who tried to draw diamonds. Some had never held a pencil, some had never gone to school, and some had not much but some schooling. It was really sad for us to thing about having to come to a different country for freedom, religion but be rejected. Not only did we like Ellis Island but Central Park was wonderful too! We loved the children park that they had. Huge rocks were heaven for Chloe! The park was awesome the structure. Grace even liked it! The zoo was sweet too. The petting zoo was very cute. We saw bunnies, geese, goats and other animals. The same landscaper the designed Shelburn designed Central Park. The park also had a merry go round in which Ella Chloe and I got to ride. We all agreed that is was the fastest Merry go Round that we had every went on! When walking around in the city, Ella saw Hello Kitty and we got a picture of them together! We came at the right time because all the decorations were out! Anyways, we had a blast in NYC!

Chloe at the top!!

At one of Hailey's soccer games Chloe decided that she was bored so found a playground and climbed to the top! She is a great little climber!

Halloween!!

Halloween this year! We went trick or treating with two other families. Mom was supposed to be aa spider but never got to it, Ella was a cheerleader which was decided at the last moment after wanting to be a witch, Chloe was a cute Halloween fairy and Hailey was Fabbiana from the Boston Breakers. We we are all happy dad wasn't sick again this year because we missed him!
